Ba Zhen Wan




Uses: Anemia, Heavy Menstruation, Dysmenorrhea (Cramps), Dizziness, Weakness. Ba Zhen Wan (Ba Zhen Tang, Tang-Kuei (Dang Gui) and Ginseng Eight Combination), literally “Eight Treasure Pills”, is a widely used formula when there is both qi and blood deficiency. Symptoms may include palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, weak limbs, fatigue, and poor appetite. This formula is commonly used during pregnancy to help prevent miscarriage, and after birth to help the mother recovery. It may also be used to chronic illness, irregular menstruation, uterine bleeding, anemia, and for post-surgical recovery.*

Caution: If you have digestive problems consult with an herbalist to find a suitable alternative, possibly combining with a formula such as Bao He Wan.  Use only under consultation if you are pregnant and do not take while you have a cold/flu.

Ingredients: Radix Codonopsis (Dang Shen), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Bai Zhu), Poria (Fu Ling), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gan Cao), Radix Angelica Sinensis (Dang Gui), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Bai Shao), Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Chuan Xiong), Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shu Di Huang).
