Bai He Gu Jin Wan



Uses: Dry Cough, Sore/Dry Throat, Sensation of Heat in Hands, Nightsweats. Bai He Gu Jin Wan/Pian (Lily Bulb Formula, Lilium Teapills), literally “lily bulb formula to preserve the lungs”, is a traditional formula designed to treat lung and kidney yin deficiency. Symptoms may include dry cough (possibly with blood-streaked sputum), sore and/or dry throat, heat in the “five palms” (hands, feet and/or chest), wheezing, night sweats. Symptoms are generally of a chronic nature or at least often recurring. This pattern is very commonly seen in smokers, accordingly this formula is often used to help people recover their lung function after smoking cessation.*

Recommended Dosage: Take 5 to 7 pills or tablets 3 times a day. At full dose, one bottle renders a 10-day supply. Expect results within 2 to 6 weeks of daily use.

Caution: It is best to avoid alcohol, smoking and spicy foods while taking this formula. You should not use this formula if you have cough due to the common cold (i.e. you have a stuffy nose or excessive thick mucus/phlegm). Use with caution if you have digestive disorders. Do not use without consulting an herbalist of physician in children, the elderly, or in anyone who is extremely weak such as those recovering from a long-term illness. (200 tablets)
