Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan translates as the “Cinnamon & Poria Pills”, it is a classic formula most commonly used for complications with pregnancy. In Chinese medicine terms it is used for more severe blood stagnation with accumulation of masses in the abdomen and/or uterus. Symptoms may include non pregnancy bleeding (blood would be dark/sticky, possibly with clots), dripping blood during pregnancy, problems holding on to the pregnancy, and abdominal pain that is worse with pressure. This formula may be used to treat uterine fibroid, menstrual problems, problems with the stability of pregnancy, stillbirth, and ovarian cysts.*
