San Jin Wan
Uses: Urinary Tract Infections, Urination Problems. San Jin Wan, literally “three gold ball pills” is a classic formula to treat what is known as Lin syndrome, in this case specifically due to damp heat in the bladder. Symptoms may include those common with UTI’s such as burning pain with urination, urgency, difficulty, dribbling, and feeling a lack of full voiding. This formula is used to treat UTI’s and/or UTI like symptoms. While it can be used for other urinary problems there are other formulas that may be more appropriate.*
Recommended Dosage: Take 5 to 7 pills or 3 to 5 tablets 3 times per day – dosage can be doubled during acute phase. Expect results within 2-3 weeks of daily use. In cases arising from kidney yang deficiency Bi Xie Fen Qing Yin Wan will likely be more appropriate.
Caution: Do not use it during pregnancy. Avoid oily food, spicy foods, alcohol and smoking while taking this formula. Also avoid any other tonic Chinese herbs for best results. Consult a herbalist or physician before use with children, women who are breastfeeding, or in the elderly who are week from illness.(100 tablets)
