Wu Mei Wan
Uses: Parasites, Ulcerative Colitis, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Wu Mei Wan (Mume Formula), literally translates as “Mume pills”, it is a traditional formula designed to treat the condition of heat in the stomach and cold in the intestines. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, intense stabbing pain in the abdomen, and cold hands/feet. It is commonly used with a range of digestive issues such as parasites (especially roundworm), ulcerative colitis, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, and dysentery.*
Caution: Do not use this formula if diarrhea is due to damp heat. Use with caution if pregnant.
Ingredients: Fructus Mume (Wu Mei), Pericarpium Zanthoxyli (Hua Jiao), Radix et Rhizoma Asari (Xi Xin), Rhizoma Chinensis (Huang Lian), Cortex Phellodendri Chinensis (Huang Bo), Rhizoma Zingiberis (Gan Jiang), Ramulus Cinnamomi (Gui Zhi), Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata (Fu Zi), Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng (Ren Shen), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Dang Gui).
