Xiao Qing Long Wan
Uses: Cough and Asthma. Xiao Qing Long Wan/Pian literally “minor blue dragon pills”, is a classic formula designed to release the exterior and to dispel wind-cold with presentation of water retention. Symptoms may include aversion to cold, fever with no sweating, wheezing, coughing, profuse thin watery/clear sputum, heavy sensation, difficulty breathing that is worse lying down, and edema of the face and/or limbs. This formula is used to treat cold, asthma, emphysema, and pulmonary disorders.*
Recommended Dosage: Take 5 to 7 pills or 3 to 4 tablets 3 times per day. At full dose, one bottle renders an 8 to 10 day supply. Expect results within 3 to 5 weeks of daily use.
Caution: If there are signs of deficiency (weak low back, edema, etc.) the formula Su Zi Jiang Qi Wan may be a better choice for cough and asthma. Avoid oily, cold, and spicy food. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Avoid taking together with tonic Chinese herbs. Not suitable for cough and asthma due to internal heat or deficiency. Concern should be relieved within several days if the Chinse herb fits the concern. Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Not for long term use.(200 tablets)
