Zuo Gui Wan
Uses: Libido, Erectile Dysfunction, Female Infertility, Hot Flashes, Amenorrhea, Chronic Low Back Pain. Zuo Gui Wan (Zuo Yui Yin) literally, “restore the left kidney pills” is a classic formula designed to treat kidney yin deficiency and astringe the jing (essence) in Chinese Medicine terms. Symptoms may include low libido, dizziness, ringing of the ears, night sweats, hot flashes, low back pain, seminal emission, dribbling urine, and in females irregular menstruation and dry vagina. This formula may be appropriate for male or female infertility, erectile dysfunction, menopause symptoms, uterine bleeding, amenorrhea, and atrophic vaginitis. This formula is specifically for sexual dysfunction relating to kidney yin deficiency, for kidney yang deficiency see Zhuang Yang Wan/Pian.*
For minor symptoms of Kidney Yin Deficiency results should be seen within 3-5 weeks, for amenorrhea and/or female infertility the formula is generally taken daily for 2-3 months.
Caution: Do not use if pregnant. Do not use in children. Avoid if you are taking any cold medicines and discontinue use if any adverse symptoms arise such as appetite loss.
