Ban Xia Bai Zhu Tian Ma Wan

Uses: Headache, Dizziness, Cold Limbs, Irritable. Ban Xia Bai Zhu Tian Ma Wan (Pian) translates into english as the “Pinellia, Atractylodis and Gastrodia Combination” formula. From a Chinese perspective injury (from stress, illness, poor dietary habits) to the Stomach and Spleen system can lead to problems of dampness in the body. Dampness can be thought of as a heavy sensation in the body and it can interrupt digestion, thinking, and settle into particular areas such as the head (i.e. headaches). This formula is used to raise energy and remove dampness from the body. Symptoms appropriate for this formula would be digestion problems generally (bloating, abdominal pain, poor appetite, etc.) along with mild nausea (possibly vomiting), and severe and/or constant headaches, dizziness, vertigo, etc. You may also have cold limbs, be irritable and generally feel heavy/sluggish.*
